Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a new office administrator to join us in York in a great collaborative but driven culture.

Having recently delivered some of the nations most significant infrastructure projects, we have been instructed on further business.  This role is crucial to support and enable the operations team through effective administration and organisation of our York facility.

Our environment is like none other with the ambition, collaboration and innovation running through our people. You will be the key point of contact for all things Office and administration for York. 


Job Purpose
As the Administrator you are responsible for general administration tasks within the office environment. You will play a primary role in ensuring that all office administrative functions are coordinated to achieve a high level of productivity within the office and wider company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Organising meetings and managing calendars
  • Booking transport and accommodation
  • Organising company events and conferences
  • Keep stock of office supplies and IT equipment and place orders when necessary
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
  • Preparing letters, presentations and reports
  • Processing invoices and managing office budgets
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
  • Facilitating the induction of new employees
  • Supporting with Bid administration or tenders.
  • Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date
  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary

 
Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Knowledge of administrative software packages
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
  • Basic accounting skills
